Postcards from Chinatown
The Photography of Jon Rendell

San Francisco’s Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in North America and the largest Chinese community outside Asia. I consider SF’s Chinatown to be one of the most authentic Chinatowns outside of China, mainly because of it’s intact Chinese population.  Once you escape the couple of blocks that is tourist Chinatown, you will find a second Chinatown where the locals live, eat, and shop. So many sights, sounds and smells to discover, so make sure to walk those extra blocks and explore.

Scene4 Magazine - Jon Rendell

Jon Rendell was born into an auteur/photog family in Melbourne, Australia. He was always captivated by shadows and finds himself hard-wired to focusing on the transitory, abstract shapes that come and go with the available light.
